Today I’m posting two completely different looks – I hope you like them!
This one is a ‘first date’ look. I don’t believe in rules when it comes to fashion, but I do think that a medium-dark wash pair of jeans like these are a must have for every closet because they flatter any body type. Plus, the skinny jean cut is perfect for a date night because it can be sexy, but not in a too-revealing way. I also like the top because its definitely a bit risque, but its classy at the same time. Not many things can pull off that combination well, but this top does. The pops of red are great because you need a little color in there and I had the same idea with the black heels with a pop of leopard print. These touches just add interest to an otherwise average getup. Can’t forget about the jewelry! The necklace is edgy, but elegant and draws attention to the face, which is perfect because you want your date to notice how gorgeous you are! Because the necklace is a statement piece, I went easy on the rest of the jewelry, but followed through with some more pops of red and sparkle.
This bottom one is a ‘meeting the parents’ look. Totally different from the first one, but I would honestly wear both of these looks because they each fit a different part of my style personality. For this look, I went with a full on sweet as cotton candy theme – the colors are really pale, so the gold jewelry can really stand out and accentuate the clothing. I think a layered top like this over a mini skirt looks awesome and the colors really work well together. Without the pattern in the skirt, the look would just be a bit boring. Also, to add a bit more interest, I picked this Chloe + Isabel Ring because I wanted some more color in there. There’s a lot of texture in this look, too, which makes it the opposite of boring. The gold sandals pull it all together, but if you want a bit more edge you could totally rock this outfit with a black or brown studded boot.
