How to Rock Your Lazy Days

Everyone, even the most accomplished fashionistas, have those days where you just want to wear your sweats all day. Well stylebandits, I have great news: it is possible to have those comfortable (& comforting!) pieces without sacrificing your unique stylishness! Thanks to the kicked-up-a-notch sweatshirts and embellished sneakers many brands have been coming out with, you can have your lazy-girl style cake and eat it too.

Having one or two embellished sweatshirts in my closet has seriously made life easier – on those lazy days where you still have to be presentable I can just throw one on with my comfiest jeans and I’m ready to go. Picking shoes and tops that have small embellishments also mean no accessorizing necessary, which is always a plus if you’re feeling lazy or short on time.

What do you think of this look? How do you rock your lazy days with style?

Style Inspiration

Hello everyone! I recently was flipping through a magazine and found some awesome inspiration that I wanted to take and make my own creations based off of. I’m not the kind of person who likes to follow or buy into trends, but I do like to find different styles and make them my own. I think sometimes if you follow trends too much and take them too seriously, you can end up not feeling like yourself and your own personal flare becomes someone else’s. You should always try new things and be fearless because that’s how you create your personal style! I’ve never been into acting, but I think what you wear can totally influence the way you act, so in a way switching up your style is like becoming a different version of yourself each time!

And since I’m always trying to change up my style, one of the things I love the most about my Chloe & Isabel jewelry is that it can enhance any one of the different styles I want to try.

What do you think of the green-on-green or print-on-print look?

Current Obsession

On my recent vacation to Kennebunkport, I did some shopping :), which you know already from my last few posts. One of the things I found on my trip, however, was special enough to merit its very own post!

On one of our last days, we had some time before dinner to kill so we walked around cute Dock Square and wandered into a tiny little shop. The inside was very crowded with kitschy little things everywhere, and we were on our way out… BUT THEN… I saw this ring!

I’m obsessed! The green is so vibrant and looks good with my skin tone – really, I just never want to take it off.

I felt a bit like I was cheating on my new favorite jewelry brand, Chloe & Isabel, but this ring was too special not to get. Plus its always exciting when you think there’s nothing in a store for you, but then you find a hidden gem (literally!) that is perfect. Everyone should get themselves a nice gift every once in a while, you deserve it! PLUS, I love wearing this even more because it matches my boyfriend’s birth stone, which makes it all that much more special. My favorite jewelry are the pieces that have meaning behind them, because they will never go out of style. Needless to say, this ring will now be a permanent fixture on my hand.

I may have cheated a little bit on my go-to jewelry, but I haven’t forgotten & neither should you because…. until June 24th you can get 15% OFF ALL ORDERS $125+. Just check out my boutique!

Wild Child

This is one of my favorite sets that I’ve made – anyone who knows me knows that I am an absolute animal lover, and that transfers into my style too! In fact, I’m such a crazy animal devotee that I’m currently trying to convince my boyfriend to adopt a second kitten :). Anywhooo, this set was inspired by one of my all time favorite places and vacations – Africa. I may not be able to go there as much as I would love to, but wearing looks like these can make me feel like I’m goin’ on Safari!

The dress is Alexander McQueen (and waaay too much of a splurge). The top is Lord & Taylor, skirt joythestore & any gold strappy heels would look fab with either outfit.

I love the two prints of the top and skirt together – the green makes it pop and pulls both prints together.

I picked out two different jewelry looks for each outfit, but both are gold because I think it just brings out the neutral/brown tones in each look.

As always, the jewelry can be purchased at my boutique & bring out your own inner wild child!
