Style Inspiration

Hello everyone! I recently was flipping through a magazine and found some awesome inspiration that I wanted to take and make my own creations based off of. I’m not the kind of person who likes to follow or buy into trends, but I do like to find different styles and make them my own. I think sometimes if you follow trends too much and take them too seriously, you can end up not feeling like yourself and your own personal flare becomes someone else’s. You should always try new things and be fearless because that’s how you create your personal style! I’ve never been into acting, but I think what you wear can totally influence the way you act, so in a way switching up your style is like becoming a different version of yourself each time!

And since I’m always trying to change up my style, one of the things I love the most about my Chloe & Isabel jewelry is that it can enhance any one of the different styles I want to try.

What do you think of the green-on-green or print-on-print look?

Style Sets Week – The Finale!

Hi everyone! I took a little impromptu trip to stay with my mom in Long Island yesterday and got my sun on. While I was relaxing in the sun, or taking a break from rescuing turtles(!), I decided to check out the Swedish Elle that my cousins left at our house. Not that I understood much, but I gotta say I really enjoyed all of the fashion. I was actually inspired to take something I saw in the magazine and put my own spin on it in my last style set of the week.

There’s a bit too much shine on this photo, but I just thought the cow-print was really interesting. Now, I absolutely am not a fan of the actually cow-skin products 😦 but I do love the animals and the print is not the most commonly seen thing in fashion. Of course, there are certain connotations that may come with dressing up in cow-print, but if done well I think this could be an awesomely unique trend.

So, I created the following style set:

Everybody knows summertime is wedding season and most people usually have at least one wedding to attend. So, I decided to make this next style set in honor of the season of love!

I hope my week of style sets has been showing you how versatile Chloe and Isabel is – you can just about put it on for any type of look or any occasion you’ve got going on.  That’s one of the things I love about it, because you never want to spend money on things you can really only wear one time or for one specific type of event.

The Torsade necklace that I featured in this style set is one of our all time best sellers – people go crazy for it (also comes in clear/white). It is also one of our pricier pieces, but by entering SUMMER15 at checkout you can get 15% off that gorgeous necklace.

(Not So) Heavy Metals

Recently, my Dad took me out to dinner at this restaurant in the East Village called Dirt Candy (or as my Mom called it, “Dirty Candy”). Let me just tell you – the place is apparently impossible to get reservations at & only seats about fifteen people… and the food is AMAZING. Like, holy crap. Don’t ask questions, don’t think about it, just get yourself a reservation and go!

Anyway, I decided to try something a little bit outside of my regular style that day. I don’t usually go for the plain or geometric metals when I pick out my jewelry, but I tried out Chloe + Isabel’s S-Chain Link Collar Necklace with black skinny jeans and the Shenandoah Tunic from Free People.

I’m glad I went on a whim and threw on the links necklace because it opened me up to trying out styles of jewelry I might not usually go for. I normally would have styled a top like this with a longer, more boho necklace. I think the combo of the boho top with the modern metal necklace turned out cool & unique!

Takeaway lesson: try out unexpected combinations!
